New model! Vast protection area and high efficiency for a reasonable price!
The most proficient outdoor mosquito killer system in the "GRAD" line with a huge action range of 0.6 hectares (6000 square meters, 1.48 acres). It features a unique lure system using new effective lures and two attractants: "Nonanal" and "G-mosquito". The suction system has been improved. GRAD Black G2 can operate automatically with a help of the light sensor. The device uses carbon dioxide cylinders, not propane, which makes it completely safe.
The advantages of "GRAD BLACK G2":
- Unique! Innovative luring system based on 5 factors: imitation of breath (carbon dioxide), heat of the living body (the device’s housing heats), the smell of sweat (attractants), clothing and human skin imitation (the device is painted in black and red — New!), moonlight imitation (special illumination with "tunnel effect" — New!).
- Unique! Using two attractants at the same time. "Nonanal" is a long-range attractant, and "G-mosquito" is a short-range one. Their joint use significantly increases the number of lured mosquitoes thus enhancing the efficiency of the device.
- Automatic-mode based on the light sensor. The device itself starts operating at dusk, when mosquitoes become active and switches off in the morning.
- Improved suction system. Updated fan features enhanced power, but it is very quiet while operating. It sucks in all the mosquitoes flying around leaving them no chance to survive.
- Handy control panel with illuminated buttons. Switch-on and the night-mode buttons are illuminated for the user’s convenience.
Application field
"GRAD BLACK G2" is intended to destroy the population of blood-sucking insects (mosquitoes, gnats, horseflies, midges, etc.) on the territory of cottages, gardens, villages, recreation areas, summer cafes, restaurants, etc. The device can significantly reduce or completely destroy all flying bloodsuckers on the territory in just 2-3 weeks. The number of destroyed insects depends on the degree of the mosquito’s infestation of the territory.
Operating principle
The operation principle is based on the imitation of the main factors that attract human biting insects (mosquitoes, flies, gnats, horseflies etc.) by the device.
These include:
1. The release of carbon dioxide (CO2) imitating breathing. It is recommended to use only high-purity carbon dioxide ("food carbon dioxide"). Gas with impurities significantly impairs the operation of the device.
Attention! The device does not use explosive propane gas, but SAFE carbon dioxide.
2. The device's housing is heated to body temperature of a human or a warm-blooded animal. There is a flexible heating element inside the device. It brings the surface temperature to 36-38 °C and keeps it constant all the time.
3. The attractant substances are discharged to imitate the smell of a human or an animal:
- "Nonanal" imitates the smell of sweat. It "sends a message" to the mosquitoes about the presence of food at a far distance. The luring effect of this attractant was proved by the American entomologists Walter Liam and Zane Side.
- "G-mosquito" is a mixture of substances produced by human muscles under intense stress. This attractant attracts mosquitoes at a short distance.
In combination with carbon dioxide "Nonanal" and "G-mosquito" have a mutually enhancing effect which increases the number of mosquitoes reacting to the mixture by half.
4. The device’s housing imitates human skin and clothing thus creating double visual effect. The housing of the device features special structure and it is painted in black and red. Mosquitoes perceive its cover as human body and prefer to land in the area near the suction hole painted in red that looks like unprotected human skin.
5. Led lighting imitating moonlight creates so-called "tunnel effect". Scientists have found that insects use moonlight for navigation. Led lights have specially selected light temperature and create directed "light cone" where the mosquitoes try to fly into. They take it for the moonlight and get directly into the receiver of the device.
After attracted mosquitoes sucked by the fan, they get into the mesh cover where they die. The fan does not immediately suck all the mosquitoes sitting on the housing. Mosquitoes will circle around the housing and get inside the mesh cover little by little.
Operation modes:
Standard (day) mode. Complemented by the second attractant it has become even more effective!
When engaged, the device constantly works in a saving mode, attracting and destroying mosquitoes all the time. In this mode mosquito population in the area will be practically destroyed in as little as 10-12 days.
Night mode (the device turns on automatically) Economical!
With one push of a button the device switches into this mode and light sensor will automatically control turning on and off. When illumination reaches a certain level of darkness (night time) the device will start to actively attract and destroy mosquitoes. It will automatically turn off at daylight.
Installation features
The best location for installing the device is an area between mosquito breeding spot (swamp, lake, lowland or timber) and the protected area. It can be put in bushes, over thick grass, under trees, etc.
The design of the device allows using it in the rain, so it does not require any additional protection.
Consumables
It is necessary to change the consumables of the device so that the device functions properly and does not reduce its efficiency. These include:
- Carbon dioxide. 40-liter cylinder with carbon dioxide is enough for about a month of operation, and 10-liter for 7-8 days respectively.
- Attractant "Nonanal". When the device is in automatic night mode 1 bottle is enough for the entire mosquito season. If the device is operating constantly, it’s recommended to check the level of the attractant every 2 or 3 weeks.
- Attractant "G-mosquito". One briquette is intended for approximately 21 days of operation.
